jamie885: No that's not possible. The only way an iPhone can connect to a Mitsubishi Lancer's audio switch controller on the steering based on stock OEM parts is if you have an MMCS in the car.

Sorry should have explained myself a little better.

If im correct, the activ had a voice command button on the steering wheel.
What I want to be able to do is hit the button say next song and have it change the track.

This should be possible IF when you press the voice command button on the steering wheel it brings up the voice command option on the iPhone.

basic phone, works well with basic sound system, NO MCCS, Samsung A411 or 412 as shown on list on 1st page. My car is a 2007 build. one of the first CJs.

G'day
I too am looking for a basic phone and have found that the Sumsung A411 and A412 are no longer available
I think replaced by C5220 model .Does anyone know if this one also works in a Lancer ?

G'day
I just noticed that the Sumsung may be Telstra only
If so the options are getting fewer

I can't be assed right now, but I did provide a link earlier in this thread from Johnson Controls (the people that make the BT unit) that has a list off "compatible" phones and their level of compatability. Of course the list is limited to handsets they have tested, so more recent units may not appear for a while..... :D
