MY11 Lancers - The Early Scoop and inside thread

So I've seen the future and heard from the grapevine some things to expect in the new MY11 Lancers

Here are the trim levels:

ES
SX (Replacement for the hugely successful Activ. Will share alot of the features you see in the Activ)

VR
VRX
Aspire
RA
Evo

Across the range, here are a couple of mods:
* Improved mechanical braking system
* Improved sound insulation
* Drivers side window control will be both auto up and down (currently only auto down)
* Welcome Light feature (i.e. they will hard wire your parker lights/DRLs to your Dome light circuit so they light up when you unlock your car)

VR and above to get:
* Bluetooth 2.0
* Chrome door belt moulding
* Color console display (instead of the orange crap we have)
* Smart Key
* Folding Mirrors

VRX and RAs to get new seat design.

All to be released and seen by the public after Aug 2010.

I think the fact that VRs will now have Smart key is really the killer move. And we'll probably see a drop in the resale value of older ESs and VRs now with the factory folding mirrors.

From what I've been told. Expect New MY11 ES manuals to sell for under A$19,990 drive away.

Oh man, the smart key and bluetooth.. the two things I really wanted but couldn't... and yes, the window feature is a must!

I suppose I have folding mirrors now so its not too bad

Can't tell now. We'll look into it when we see it in the new MY11s.

I reckon the window adjustment panel will need to change, so that's one part we'll need to buy. Sensibly, it's the way the signal is sent from the switch. So I'm hopeful.

Let's not get too excited boys we'll cross the bridge when we get to it.

I would like to see the change To Blue

They're going to be full color with a slant towards blue.

Same as the one on the outlander I profiled on Youtube. The Mitsu logo is red on the startup.
