For a bonnet, yes..
Removing a top mount intercooler on a wrx and leaving the scoop on the hood is considered a fire hazard and you can be defected for it.. it's retarded but it happens
I'm assuming the same for other stuff? but some bonnets have holes so I duno...
I wouldn't be keen on cutting my front bumper though, but I've seen bodykits with this bit for the airflow.

Looks awesome. Seen this on quite a few cars incl. 350z and what not. I wouldn't mind it on my Evo if I stil had the snorkel there but since I don't, it's questionable if it will actually boost performance. The other bodykit posted on here looks better for airflow though.

Agreed. I mean surely there is a reason why Mitsu doesn't just use the same snorkel across the entire range... that would be the cheapest option for them anyway.

makes taking off from lights faster
I don't know if that's necessarily because you are getting increased airflow into your box though... especially in an automatic. But I'll let a tech guru on these forums answer with a more scientific answer

thats the Cwest Kit isnt it? all in all, the actual improvement you get from a NA lancer with a larger induction pipe. you get next to nothing, your throttle body and plenum can only take what they allow. anymore and its just noise,
I have the Injen intake on my car, they say it does something, i say it just makes a great noise. thats all i bought it for.
if you want gains from a larger intake, once its over what your throttle body and plenum can allow then its useless. unless you increase the throttle body and intake plenum. that you would then in turn need to inlarge your exhaust. from the block. if you can tune your car right, and get decent engine mods you can put out as much as a ralliart(stock) if not more from an NA, wile keeping it NA. but you will never get there with stock intake, exhaust, cams, valves and injectors.
ORRR if your like Car_god, you can get a bagillion KW ATW, with just a lightened flywheel. and go screaming off at the lights and beat every car in existance.
