i have spend 1/5 of the cost to get all the materials besides the reflectors. to make these. cost of reflectors is about 30 something dollers last time i bought some, total cost i can make them for around 40$ a set, rather then the 100-150 a set they sell for. and yes 50 was an exaggeration. BUT! i do have enough to make 50 boards out of the clad board i have.

also, i will be able to make anytype of led stuff ones i have all the gear, can make custom reflector led's domelights, anything LED, except flex, they are special and cant be made by hand.

For $40 I would be interested if you begin mass production :)

the cost of them will solely rely on how cheap i can get the reflectors,

also depending on how big the diodes are it will have both low and high(so to speak, brakeing. and parker.) if the diodes are to big then i cant do that. or i have to just change the circuit so one of the 3 chips uses the parker, then all of them light for the brake. so far they do fit space between the front and back of the reflector, is 3.5mm board is 1mm LED is 1.8mm, so far it fits, if the reflector is larger then 1.8 they wont fit in. but i can make it fit, i have my ways. i will get it to be good.

Sounds preety good Blake, Make-up a working set and post-up some good explanatory pic of them and maybe a vid showing them in operation.
I'm sure this will generate more interest in your project.

We just need someone to check-out the RTA legallity of using these on our vehicles. If its all OK then go for it.

Good work so far Blake.

Cheers: Sam

Legallity wise, in the way of the reflector, it is unchanged. whether lights are premitted that low on a vehical i am unsure of, in my state, i have had cops behind me for long periods, and they have not pulled me over for them. but thats just my state, and my experience with it.

yes i did, everything on the board i put on in the course, did board repair as well. from how to fix holes to fixing traces and pads and through hole pads

did SMD resistors, diodes, SOIC (the small SMD IC's) did normal through hold IC, the 3 in the middle, did caps the blue things everything thing possible in electronics except the under pin components, those are way to hard cause they need to be balled on there thousands of pins then heated to drop into place.

How hard are the SM components to solder ? I haven't been game enough to try them.

if you have the right tools they are easy as eating a pie. the hard part of SMD components is getting them off with out lifting pads

All Parts have arrived, only problem is the diodes are a big bigger then i thought, so i will have to make a work around for that, with will just be some inline diodes, put into the cables,

Well just a little update.

revised the layout, thicker traces, different board for the Diode so it can be separately connected. now just need to print it, and get it onto a board

Diode board's are in the middle of the 2 reflector boards
