Anyone know any Mitsu mechanics running a home workshop?

Postby JaCe » Mon May 03, 2010 7:59 pm

Just curious if anyone knows of a home mechanic workshop and have experience with the CJ Lancer/Evo X. Trying to find someone to help me install my Injen intake, upper intercooler piping and also tap the 12v power source to power my throttle controller and a GReddy Informeter.

Sean (spareparts) and I can help.

Sean has done all the piping in his RA, and I have heaps of experience with older Evos :)

Not this weekend though, we are doing my audio install

Really? I'm not in a rush but just prefer the help of someone who knows what they're doing with the CJ's.... would a 6 pack seal the deal sometime?

ps. How often are you in Sydney on w/e's anyway? I remember you drive to Lane Cove for work or something and that takes you yonks each day!

I might be taking you guys up on your offer :) Normally I'd go to a mechanic but the problem is I don't really feel comfortable with my mates who aren't familiar with the Evo or CJ Lancer trying to pull apart trim and identify fuses etc...

The intake I'm not so worried about because it's got pretty comprehensive instructions but the pulling apart the dash, splicing of wires, getting power supply and then powering both the throttle controller and GReddy Informeter is a bit more daunting (i.e. http://clubcj.net/viewtopic.php?t=4798&highlight= )

You guys are champs :) Thanks Sean & Shane (and Ant).

Let me know if there's anything I can do beforehand to help prepare or make things easier for you (e.g. research). I also downloaded the Injen installation guide for the intake.

Haha I got the Informeter installed by a mate because I was impatient but the intake is going to require some professional work (i.e. you guys)

Let me know whenever any of you are free on a weekend and I'm sure we can do something!

ps. Do you guys need tools or any equipment? I don't have anything but can visit the hardware store on the way if necessary!

Btw I emailed Injen and obtained a soft copy of the installation guide. Refer to http://www.megaupload.com/?d=98M702VK . Let me know if this looks easy/possible or too difficult.
