OEM Head clock

Hi guys,

Just wondering, is it normal for the clock on the OEM head to take some time to show up after starting up the car?

I've noticed lately that my clock is having some delay time before starting up, when I start my engine.... about 2 seconds or so. It occasionally will come up faster (instantaneous like before this problem started to show up).

ANyone else have this problem? Or is it just natural? Could it be the engine diverting electricity to other parts before the radio and clock?

lol took me a while 2 realise what u meant head clock lol..... but i dont seem to have that prblm or actually nvr actually realised.....

Yeah I've noticed that a couple of times. Didn't think much of it. Would say it's normal.

Yeah mine has always taken a few secs to come up. It's normal.

In my Civic when it took a while to come up it was a good indicator my battery was about to go flat if I didn't let it charge a bit.

mine had that problem, than when the freezing temps hitted, the display was showing some gibberish language ,2 days later the whole display would quit.

did it to me twice, third time mitsubishi ordered a base model radio which quitted working alltogheter last week. They were kind enough to replace it under warranty with a slighly used (it came from the dealership rally prepped evoX) navigation unit .

so check your radio/display for failure if you have freezing temperatures (from zero to -10 celcius let say) where you live.
