REmoving CVT Gear Knob?

Pull the gear knob up

It should come out fine

Hmm... when i read you other post, "CVT Gear Bit", and you mention that it doesn't properly click in, i'm reluctant to believe you. lol, nah thats pretty much what ive heard. the whole thing off, or seperate the two pieces apart while on the stick, and then take them off???

If it doesn't come off easily try to squeeze it to one side

I don't really know how it can properly come off

I have a theory for why instructions tell you to put it into neutral. (still havn't tried tho, lazy bugger)
The angle at which the gear knob is at 'P', is in line with the Air Con/heater unit area, and IF too much force is used, you may take off the knob, and keep going till you hit switches or something and break it. If you shift it to 'N', its either straight up and down, or facing a little way away, so you can take it off with no risk of hitting anything.

just a theory... i'm sure someone, somewhere has managed to hit it still.

The taking off thing has somehow been solved, but other than aftermarket knobs available through the dealer, what else can be fitted as a cheaper replacement?

Well, i've seen one (i think on Ebay) with 6 leds in it, Can't remember specifics, but looked pretty good... I'm HOPING (havn't even started yet) download a 3d model of something that looks good, machine it, and somehow attach it... you know what, i'll start looking now...
