i'd never buy parts from the dealers  thats crazy! Theres bound to be a evo x owner who will change their seats sooner or later and when they do you can purchase their stocks off them when they do.. just keep a eye out on the evo forums etc..

Or just buy straight from Recaro. How much are they anyway?

^ Josh, you can't get them direct from Recaro. Just as you can't get the BBS RE (Evo X Spec) wheels from BBS. They are made on contract to Mitsubishi, pretty much custom design from the commercial ones. They look nearly the same, but they are not the same as the commercial ones. So if you want the compatible bags, you have to either go Mitsubishi, which is $4 - $5K over here, OR find a 2nd hand one.

Personally (though I aint changing seats), if I wanted Recaro's or something else, I'd just buy them and then take the car to the dealer to have the Airbag light disabled, OR, have the wiring set back to a closed loop so the airbag lights don't trip when the circuit is broken (old seats removed).
