clem 7 now open

hey gang,

with the clem 7 tunnel opening late last night i thought i'd jump on here to see who is interested in going for a slow (cuz there are 8 speed cameras in it) drive through it. maybe one night this week or on the weekend. what does everyone think?

its not just slow cause of the speed cameras. the tunnel, is slow anyway. today first day it was open some people took over an hour to get through the 6Min tunnel.

I went through today, each direction and it took ~5 mins...

There was a breakdown this morning at 6:10am at the end of the northbound tunnel which didn't help those passing through then. :lol:

We were planning a run through this as part of the next "Friday Night Meet" on he 26th March.

You should hear my intake echo through it at redline :shock:

Oh that's right!

Well when you go through it, redline second gear... secks 8-)

2nd gear redline for me is 105kph though :oops:

well technically i cant redline seeing as redline is at 7000. and i can only get to 6500. lol unless you want to do something for me.

You're redline is at 6500, same as your fuel cut. I can go to 7000 though :P

Both redline and limiter are at 6500 stock.

My redline is still 6500 but my limiter is now at 7000

Two posts about the tunnel, then a riveting conversation about redlines ... Yew!!!

I camped out at the entrance to the tunnel last night and went through in the first 20 cars or so ... Brisbane lameness at it's best :) In 80 years I'll bail up some teenagers and tell them about the time I went through the tunnel ... sweeeeet.

I had semi planned to get up and go for a drive through, but was heading home from dinner with some friends at 10 and saw the signs change so pulled over at the exit and waited about 10 minutes till they moved the hats ....... So lame :P
