before there is a war, its vinyl.. I stand corrected.... was confused with my falcon, which is painted by the looks of it..

Maybe the black cars just have paint all the way up, if so, lucky...

The CF pillar covers look trick though..

Correct, all black Lancers have this section painted per their body colour.

Had a few people come up to me at meets & thought I removed them. :?

Yep careful that you dont drop microfiber cloths & use on the car until you remove all the debris off them. I always keep them in a clean zip lock bag for storage as well.

This happened to me when I was buffing a section of my rear bumper & noticed all these scratches appearing :shock: Luckily got most of them out with Meg's Scratch X, great stuff.

Think cheaper option is to re-vinyl this section Curto. Wish u well.

All the black CJs do not have vinyl I believe and are body coloured. The non black cars are vinyl.

oh god thats like .. a lot of money for those carbon fibre pillars lol
and yeah mines vinyl
and um.. i kinda didnt just try to get the droplets off
i kinda just lightly scratched it with the back of my nail on the cloth
and then after realising it made a mark i went up and down to clarify
and then i was like.. oh f**k
so stupid but i do do stupid things
would it also make sense if i told you it was the microfibre cloth Mitsubishi gave me when i bought the car :oops:
anyways my mate is a sign writer and hes got this sticker maker thing and yeah, he makes stickers n sh*t using vinyl
you reckon he might be able to help me out?

Your mate should be an expert at it!

The hard part is to remove all the window rubbers etc. to remove and fit the new vinyl. It is best to both doors to match the colour.

Vinyl is easy to lay on flat surfaces.

I would experiment with some gloss black.. I have a feeling it would look pretty good :)

yeah i saw that on the rear doors the vinyl is more annoyingly slid under the rubbers.. ugh

Hows it going.

If your mate is going to do the job I suggest he uses Avery Translucent Black 5501 QM (Pantone Hexachrome Black C)

It costs a little more but it is the exact gloss level match to the original vinyl pilars.
