Postby CURTO » Wed Feb 24, 2010 5:35 pm

guy i went into the garage only to give the car an inspect and maybe go over it a bit with the microfiber cloth and yeah, get all that dust off
so i get to in between the door windows and theres some crap on the black bit.. drops or something
so i just go over and get the drops off and oh hang on? its left behind all these scratches? must be a residue or something
oh its not coming out
wait a sec
your f**king joking me..
thats right guys, apparently even a microfiber cloth is to rough on this part of the lancer
end result is.. well look at the picture

I believe the area between the door are vinyl. The same as we all fit to our front bumpers between the grills.

You could just peel off and replace.

Did you use quick detail spray? What brand microfiber cloth did you use?

Always wanted to know how hard it would be to get that vinyl off might look good same colour as the car.

Otherwise why don't you ask Ofey if he can get you some genuine Ralliart carbon fibre to stick on there?

That is for you to decide or peel one side off and take some pictures and ask us all what we think.

As other have posted you could go a carbon fibre look.

With vinyl there are so many choices.
