SA March meet discussion

Postby aspir3 » Tue Feb 09, 2010 10:26 am

I would like to know what you guys and girls would like to do for our next meet.

No date has been set but in March would be nice.

I would like to bring my family to the next one.

A few thoughts are;
Paint ball
Bowling night
Go cart night
Cruise Barossa
Cruise South- Victor and day at Greenhills adventure park

We maybe could go on a cruise and go cart or bowling?

Please post your thoughts and preferred dates and days/nights.

March sounds good to me, but things will ramp up at work soon so i cant "lock" it in though...

 well Go-carting is probably my 1st choice because im a bit of a lead foot.

 i wouldn't want to do the barossa because ive done it a few times recently and the drive while nice, isn't that exciting (for me anyway)

 never heard of greenhills, but just looked it up and it looks like fun?

 i was going to suggest paintballing, but some members families might be too young?

well thats my two cents worth!

I forgot about paint ball as an idea.

I added it to the original post.

paint balling sounds pretty sweet, i have always wanted to do it and was trying to organise something with sum dudes from work but we can never get a date set. there is a cheap paint ball place down south at deep creek, a few mates have been there and have said its really good there. http://www.skirmishwargames.com.au/
im open to do anything, have a pretty boring life so i jump at any oppertunity to get out of the house.
march is fine for me, the only day im booked up is saturday the 6th as i have a wedding.

That looks like fun paint ball.

I am not that keen to drive the Aspire on unsealed roads.

I will do it if other are interested but I will drive really slow. :(

Hey all....I would echo Go Karting as my son and I spend our spare time doing so out at Pooraka (Research road) and Port Gawler with friends karts. Heaps of Fun!

We're keen to attend March's Cruise. I have been spreading the word about our last cruise amongst the 4 walls of Mitsubishi. There are those who will certainly join us next time round, maybe not for the activities but definatly for the drive.

Greenhills is a good day out and skirmish is awesome...Will keep an eye on this forum.

Depending on the date in March, i will probably attend.

Im not keen on paintball as ive done heaps of that over the past couple of years (last session was with my old MMAL crew late last year)

Go karts are always great, been to the karts out at pooraka a few times.

I spoke to Pooraka go-carts yesterday.

We can hire the track for $600 an hour. 10 drivers can be on the track at once. A BBQ is provided for us to use if we desire.

I feel this could be a fun day or evening or night if we did this.

We would need at least 10 drivers.
We could organise races etc.
We could do this and a cruise and/or before or afterwards.
I could organise some meat and salads for us to eat as well.

I have not been in a go-cart for over 10 years. I am very interested but do not know when the best time to do this.

I need people's opinions when we should do it day, evening or night and what day?

Any other idea's would be great. I really need help on this one!
I hope some one has done this before in a group.

http://www.gokartspooraka.com.au/ has all the info on track and costs etc.

the go-carting sounds pretty cool, it would be good if we could get lots of people to come. the idea of having a bbq and food there is good.
is there any idea of what the date would be, as i wont be able to make it on the 6th but any other wkend is cool.
i havent been go-carting in like 10yrswither but use commercial ride on lawn mowers at work which is kinda the same-love it when its wet and i go drifting on the grass!!!
i am also up for a cruise, probably before the go-carting, mite be a bit buggared and sore from it.
