ITEM: Custom Chrome Upper Grille Surround

LOCATION: Melbourne, VIC

ITEM CONDITION: New

REASON FOR SELLING: To meet demands of club members.

PRICE AND PAYMENT CONDITIONS: TBC

SHIPPING AND POSTAL ARRANGEMENTS: At buyer's expense.

EXTRA INFO:
Currently, I have in possession a spare black upper grille surround. Given the demand of chrome grille surrounds (both upper and lower) and the ridiculous prices one might pay (I was quoted $88 just for an OEM BLACK surround & chrome has often been sold upward of $100).

Why not do it yourself? I have a spare, and I've done it (albeit in white) before a number of times and learnt from mistakes. What I am offering is a custom chrome upper grille surround and the buyer will simply pay for the cost of products (plastic primer and chrome paint), shipping and trade their black grille surround so that other members might also benefit.

Expected cost will be ~$30-40 to do a proper job, no labour costs + a little extra for shipping.

CONTACT INFO: Reply or PM.

Peter there is a big difference between paint chrome and real chrome.

I went through the process of chroming my fog light surrounds. You first have to coat them in copper before chroming. I think I paid about $150 to get a pair of fog light surrounds chromed.

Best of luck with the sale.

I was actually thinking the same thing. To chrome something well, you have to pre-coat with copper as mentioned by Troy.

My thoughts are if you have no purpose for the black chrome grill, perhaps you should convert 1 first to show what you're able to do then perhaps offer this. Rather than merely advertising and even buyers are in the dark about how this might look?
