That sounds extremely cheap to me? I have 2 of the new Alpine Type R's and which are 1000watt each and I was recommended to buy 2 PDX-m12 which are $1000 each :\ they are only 1200watt at 4ohm

Alpine are a major SQ amp designed for clean quality of signal.

these are not as clean in signal but it terms of power - crap all over the Alpines and 99% of mainstream brands like alpine

I dont really know much about car audio, but what do you mean in terms of not clean in signal? I will be using a line output converter would it work alright?

by Fitter
yes would work fine on the Line Out converter.

every model amp is different, some are designed to be stupidly loud, some are designed for sound quality.

those that are more for sound quality (SQ) are no where near as powerful, but reproduction of the sineway from the headunit into the amp then out to the sub is almost a totally perfect soundwave

Why would SQ be important in regards to sub woofers, wouldn't it be more important for speakers? I may be interested for future reference just need some cash.

it does come into it with subs aswell. a nice clean response to the music, no distortion, no bass when there isnt meant to be bass...rumbling etc

I hate doing this - but the lack of interest might also be due to the price?

Quick google search shows these sell for US$270 new now and are approx US$100 shipped. Damn depreciation.
