Whould Using Black Vinyl Look Good On An Aspire?

I'm thinking about blacking out the front of my red aspire, but don't know if it will clash with the chrome look. Never actually seen one done on an aspire before.

On another note, I was thinking of also doing the rear diffuser for my car but again I don't know if that would look ricey and spoil the whole car.

Zac what model Aspire do you have.

The My09 & 10 have different grill colours I believe.

I and Aspired have used chrome Vinyl to match our grills.

I believe the front black out looks good on black grills.

The option are to paint your grills if they are not black or replace your grills with black ones.

The best thing with vinyl you can put it on quickly and cheaply and if you don't like it just take it off.

Yea, I think the new Aspires don't come with a chrome grill? Or something to that extent... There was a member here somewhere with an aspire chrome grill and a black-out vinyl I think... can't remember who though.

Personally I'd go with a chrome front if you have a chrome grill - much like the audis and some of the VWs out there. Black, red, chrome = too many colours IMO.

Hey Zac, I am the guy with the blackout on the Aspire. Mind you, I have an MY10 Aspire in white. I am sure they do not have the chrome mesh grilles but have black mesh grilles, they still have the chrome grill surrounds though.

Personally I think it only works if the mesh grille is black, if I got an MY09 I most likely would have bought black grilles anyway. I have seen a red Aspire in Brisbane with a CF vinyl. It looked horrible with the chrome mesh grilles.

Here are some pics of my white aspire with the blackout. My opinion is to only do it if your mesh grille is black. But its your car, so do what you think works best for you.

Any idea on how a black rear diffuser might look?

I know it defeats the purpose of getting a luxury model but the price diff made it easy.

i might be abit different cause of the chrome strip on the boot , i've always wanted to remove the chrome stripe but it'll leave holes on my boot

I just ordered one from Ofey so I will be able to tell you and show you once painted and fitted.

Should be 2-3 weeks.
