I notice the price went up 10 bucks. You can't have too much warranty left on an 08. I still had 2 years left when I started modding, I hate tryig to get things done under warranty, it's always an argument. Might be worth buying now before teh price gos up again, even if you wait for teh warranty to run out

Too true. I'm very tempted atm. LOL

Though, question. Is the improvement in the brakes due to the braided lines noticeable? or is it more of a placebo effect??

If you get what I'm trying to say. >.<

They work and are very cheap. But if I had it to do over, I'd go for the higher priced ones from R1 Concepts. Forget the pads that come with them, rubbish

Interesting. Did you mean, something like this for the ES/VR?? As its direct bolt.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/350586870842 ... 1438.l2649

And, after some thought over the past few days, I went for it and ordered myself those same braided lines, from Safe Brakes. Strangely it says that it only comes with 4 lines in the box. Did it say the same, when you ordered yours?

Plus gonna get myself some Penrite Super Dot 4 Brake fluid. [s]Anyone know how much fluid I need to do a full replacement??[/s] I'll just get two bottles. LOL

Many thanks in advance. ^_^

Those or there is another step up again after that to the black rotors. But they might be a bit over the top for street driving. The first 1000k will be noisy I had a bit of an email back and forth with the guy about hte lines, it's the same ad, just a price change and I got 6 lines, so I wouldn't be concerned. 2 bottles is plenty, I changed mine to dot 4

Cool, cool. Nah, I'm not overly concerned with the brake lines. I'm actually quite excited to add a new mod to the car (damn, got the bug atm. LOL). Yeah, been watching a number of youtube how-to's with regards to changing brake fluid. It looks easy enough, but still going to get my mechanic uncle to help out.

I think I know which rotors you're talking about, the Cross drilled ones?

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-FRONT-2-RE ... 5ae8d1e5e3

Yeah, they look nice, but I don't know about cross drilled rotors though. Not for street driving. I'd probably consider Dimpled and slotted, like these ones, except I've only managed to find the fronts.

Aah, choices.. >.<

The RDA rotors are stock rotors that are machined to put slots etc in. You might as well buy stock rotors for bugger all and take them to the machine shop. The RDA rotors will take longer to get than ones from USA.

The link you provided here is not the one I was thinking of, I agree, I would never buy drilled discs they tend to crack. But R1 Concepts do a black rotor that is mostly carbon giving it a black face not hub. They are not cheap and are for racing I assume. The ones you have pictured will do the job, but will not last like stock rotors. They are softer steel and tend to work really well when warm but mark up more than stock ones. Best option as far as I can see is DBA, but bugger me they're hard to get for an NA Lancer

So true, DBA. I really like their kangaroo paws pattern idea for heat dissipation. Though, really wish they updated their online catalogue. Its still 14 Aug 2012. And only has listed the Ralliart 08 and up, plus is only for the front. Makes me feel very disappointed every time I look at it. Though, also makes me want to go all out and upgrade to Ralliart or EvoX brakes, but I know for me it would not be worth it. Then again, I might end up changing my mind. hehehe =p

Sounds good. So that's the Direct Replacement for an ES/VR rotors, without changing my callipers? (DBA T2 Slotted Brake Discs DBA2201S).

I take it, those are the Front rotors. You know what the model number is for the Rear rotors??

Take a photo and compare the OEM vs the DBA size and upload it for reference. That is if you want. ^_^

Side by side, they're right. I already posted pic of teh part number on the box. Rears are 2209. These guys don't seem to realise they fit CJ lancers, otherwise the price would be higher, I was quoted over 200 each at a local BrakePro

Nice, nice. So its the same size and appearance. Thank you for the photos and comparison. ^_^

Would you say, these are the same?
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DBA-DBA2201- ... 23269e9111

I'm just curious about these ones from MRT. Except, it doesn't say the ending bit. "S" or not. Part numbers are confusing me, which is why I didn't look into brakes until now. >.<

Though, our very sponsor (GSL Rallysport) also sells the same model. I wonder if its possible to pickup. As their address is at Willawong, QLD.

Options, options. Sigh.. Why did it have to be car service time. Plus the whiteline sway bars are so very tempting.. HAHAHAHA :p

GSL don't keep stock of DBA rotors, they were the first people I ordered from, he told me they had them and three weeks later changed his mind. MRT don't have them ioether and if you check all their ads you'll find wrong part numbers etc. This is as good as it giets
