Help me decide, vrx or aspire?

Postby Just1more » Sun Jan 09, 2011 12:38 pm

I was set on the aspire because of the leather seats and chrome trims, but now that I have joined this club I am leaning towards the Vrx cause I like the look of the interior more (and the price is a bit friendlier lol).

But I have a one year old boy so I am thinking the leather might be easier to keep clean. So indecisive at the moment. Also thinking I might get a better deal if I wait until the end of the month (don't know if I can wait though haha).

I'd go for the VRX which looks a lot more sporty at a reasonable price. I think you're able to opt for leather seats at some dealers as well if you're inclined towards those.

maybe you can ask the dealer how much they would charge for a leather add on for the vrx... you might even get a good deal for it... and it might end up still having a better price than the aspire... that is if it's just the leather seats that is holding you back from a vrx.

Lin I have the Aspire and kids. Now I am very fussy so my 2 girls (5 and 22 months) do not make a mess in my car. They do not eat or have sticky drinks, some times they have water.

The Aspire leather is easier to clean.
You can fit a reverse camera to the MMCS which is a great safety feature to help see kids or toys behind your car.

I also have DVD headrest which means they are whisper quiet when in my car.

I also think the resale value will be better with an Aspire.

The only thing that the VRX has the option of manual but as Sam mentioned the Aspire is only a little more then an VRX auto which you want with many extras.

Best of luck with your choice.

I am a little biased i must admit. I love the Aspire features. mmm smell the leather lol

I'm leaning back towards the aspire again, the extras seem too good to ignore.

I've test driven them both and I love them both, I might see how low I can get the dealers on the aspire, they seem a bit rarer so maybe not as much room to move?

Love the idea of the DVD babysitter for the little guy, are they pricey?

Actually, with the arguments put forward by the Aspire owners, the value for money is quite good. Seeing how it's the same mechanicals, the drive should be similar but you also get a lot on top.
I didn't realise you got the MMCS as standard on the Aspire as well, and if that's included that's great value.

I would have to agree with that, one of the reasons why i would go for the Aspire,no disrespect to the VRX,thats a great car as well :)

But Aspire in my opinion.

@Mitch the only difference is the vrx has a rear spoiler and many do not like it as it blocks their vision. Not sure how you can say the VRX looks sportier. Oh and you can not get an Aspire in Blue.

My DVD headrest cost me on special $474 and I fitted them myself. They normally RRP around $700 and fitting can be another $300-400 extra to install. They are fairly easy on the Aspire as the leather seats have zips on the sides to give you access to run the wiring.

I also believe Fitter will install things like this for cheap cash rates.

From what Sam has stated, I would say the Aspire would be the better option as it is more value for money.

I got the VRX for a few reasons.

1) Manual. I hope to never have to drive an auto, or even the new semi autos or cvt or whatever.
2) $$$. VRX is cheaper.

So if you don't mind an auto, or prefer the auto, then I would be getting the Aspire if you can afford it.

The adaptive lights are sooo helpful! My old car had them and now I really miss them on the VRX, also the HID and MMCS is a big bonus.

As others have said, the VRX spoiler is a nightmare for vision, but it looks cool :P
