I already have an ES and I'm not looking to change that any time soon, but I was wondering if the VRX has different suspension to the ES/LXs? I know it has bigger wheels and hydraulic power steering, but are the springs the same?

Hydraulic Power Steering? As opposed to Electric? THAT EXPLAINS EVERYTHING.

VRX spring are lower than ES springs. Also there is a diffference in free height depending on if the car is manual or CVT.Have a look in the workshop manual that you can access through CLUBCJ.It gives specific details of spring sizes.

Also I am sure the damper rates are a bit harder for the VRX

It is different slightly. I thought it was just the springs though...

But 'upgrading' to VRX parts isn't worth it, go aftermarket.

Lol you can actually feel the road!

I'd never used electric power steering before, all I have to say is there isn't a lot of feel, especially accelerating through corners.

As Darryl said....i also believe the shocks are different...The VRX is dfinately a stiffer ride.
