Buying a Ralliart

Hi all,
I'm going to start looking for a Ralliart soon and wasn't sure what price range I should be looking at. I asked one of the dealerships in Sydney and they said $43k for a 2012 plate.
Also what type of items should I get them to throw in with the car as well?
Cheers.

For 43K, it should have MMCS, leather and Rockford Fosgate sound system. Ask them to sweeten the deal with a full tank and floor mats.
Number one tip is don't let the dealer bring you to finance until you get the price and options you want. Make a deal with the full package first then arrange for payment options. Remember, there aren't a lot of Ralliarts on the road so the dealers can be more flexible to make a sale. Just ask them straightforward if they want the business or not; otherwise you go elsewhere.

and i can guarantee you if u walk away, they'll call u back in next few days and even lower the price for u if they are desperate.. especially when its close to the end of the month.. just be paitent and shop around and make sure u get the best deal.

I'm going to be selling my lancer as well. How should I go about it when selling it to the dealer?
Cheers,

ask for the changeover price, thats all that counts

I'd like to kindly disagree. Firstly, get them on the price of the new car. Don't mention your trade. After you shake their hand on the new car, then bring in the trade. They hate that.

That's so obvious, A guide dog's dependant could see it coming ... that simply doesn't work, unless the dealer is an absolute idiot.
Besides, most dealers will ask up-front if you have a trade-in before they commit themselves to a New Drive-Away price.
They are also very/most reluctant to write anything down on paper, because they know you will use it as leverage against another dealership.
It's an unspoken understanding amongst competing dealerships.
Sam.

The dealer will easily rip you off by $2-3K of your car's actual value. I suggest you go to
http://www.redbook.com.au and print out the page stating your vehicle's current resale/trade-in price. Negotiate with the dealer by trying to lower their car's price and/or add an array of goodies. Don't sign without the floor mats and full tank. The MMCS, leather and RF subwoofer pack comes at around $3.5-4K, so if you can get it at a substantial discount, that would be awesome. Complimentary slimline plates are also a nice addition.
Good luck.[/url]
