2012 vs 2013 VRX

I have the MY13VRX. ATM I have problems worth the CD player, it cuts in and out. I bought mine brand new, straight off the line. I love my car and glad that's the only problem I have. I think it's just a dystem update that needs to be done which is getting done on my next service .

Lol that's a factor. The problem is, there's a new lancer out next year. So that depends if it looks and runs better than the ralliart. But not really thinking about the future right now .

After a few talks with people, the 2013 is probably the best one to get as it's younger and has more technology and I can pretty much buy anything that the 2012 has that the 2013 does not have.
However, I have an addendum.
I wanted to know if there's a significant difference between a 2.0L and a 2.4L in terms of power. Not fuel economy? Let me know your opinions so I can make up my mind.

from a technical point of view the 2.4 is basically a bored out 2.0L.
It's basically the same engine but with a few bigger parts.
Actually come to think of it all 4B1 engines share the same block...
According to the Mitsubishi guide book it produces 125kw from the engine.
Although most will see about 95-105kw at the wheels.
More displacement = more power in this instance.
I have driven a 2.4 and notice it does feel better suited to the Australian roads. Mitsubishi made a good choice to offer the 2.0L and 2.4 L here in Australia as opposed to the 1.5L 1.6L &1.8 L models in Europe.
My suggestion would be to take an extended test drive like a whole weekend.
If a dealer will not let you. you should be able to rent one of these cars through a rental company like Avis.
but they generally only have the 2.0L
Personally i would not see a step up going from a 2.0L to 2.4L in terms of breathtaking performance. The only way up for me would be to strap on a pair of snails and crank the boost all the way up.
Also I am dissapoint that Mitsubishi is still only offering 5 manual gears, but I am a man who is allways seeking technological progress when i buy my next vehicle.
