So much for the "Awesome" Paint protection!!!
Not happy. I don't really have any info on what the paint protection entitles me to...but surely they will fix it?

oem paint protection is useless imo.. huge waste of money
our lancers don't come standard with rust protection but it's an addon at point of sale or aftermarket
you can get a 15ml(?) bottle of touch up paint for about $15 and just cover it up that way, black i guess you could use a marker as it'd look pretty much the same

No matter what car it is, paint is now softer these days and much more prone to paint chips.
As the industry changes to save lives, costs and the environment - it has changed from the old days of solid two-pac paint to a water based two-pac paint. In short, that is why our paint is thinner and more prone to chipping. And in case you are wondering why Euro cars that have 'prestige' paint on there is less prone to chipping, it is because they have more layers of paint have use a slightly harder resin.
Correct me if I'm wrong - but that's just a little helpful bit of info .
