1,500km Service - Complimentary

Sorry if this has been asked before (or is in the wrong place) I looked before posting but there are a lot of threads about servicing.

Anyway

I know the 1,500km service is meant to be a complimentary BUT is this only at the dealership that you purchased the car at?

I bought mine at a dealer, 40 minutes from my place and think it seems pointless to go that far for a 'check up' basically, when I've got a dealer 15 minutes away.

So the question is, if I take my car to another dealer, that I didn't buy the car from, will they try and charge me?

I asked the guy in the service department, he was as useless as tits on a bull.

Thanks in advance

I would like to think it would be a post-delivery check up "Free" as part of mitsubish australia's service.

Which service department did you call, the one 40mins away or the one closer to you? Ask the one closer to you, if they say it's free, note their name, make a booking.

That was the one who had no idea. Didn't even know what it was for *head slap*

Yes any dealer should do it free for you as mitsubishi motors pays them for doing it , brought my car in Frankston had it done in Footscray

I can confirm the above is true.. As long as it is a Mitsu approved service center you shouldnt have an issue.

Yeah you can get it done free at any Mitsubishi dealers. There's a voucher type thing in the front of your service book that your dealer should have filled out. I took mine back to my dealer but they're actually quite good and I like them even though it is 80km away.

Hubbys Craptiva had a free first service. Work bought it in Taree but we got the first service done in Lithgow for free.

this is quite the dumbest thing I've heard.

Yes, the 1500 complimentary service is free
BUT
Mitsubishi do pay the dealership service centre money to carry it out.

So this dealership here that doesn't want to do it or knows nothing about it has just lost out on earnings for his dealership.

If I was his boss and reading this, I'd sack the twit... .
