Hello everyone, been a while since I posted anything here so here goes....
I have the "carbon fibre" stick on decals for the door pillars. Problem is that even though they were put on properly they have now completely peeled off and left a lovely sticky goo in their place. I intend to stick them back on using Tarzan Grip or something equally sticky but i need something to get the goo that is currently on the car and decals off before I do it. Also some cleaning tips on how to prep the surface would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Jas

Go to bunnings or any other hardware store and look for something like "de-solv it" which are specific glue/residue desolvers which are car friendly (this brand being an orange extract) as for prep, clean and dry, so i suppose water and a bit of soap and then give it some time to properly dry.

Use prepsol to clean it.
I would use double sided take only to hold them on as one day you will need to remove them

Yeah mate prepsol or an orange based cleaner and as Troy said look for a high strength automotive double sided tape.

Prepsol is the go, it removes wax and grease and sticky residue
Painters use it prior to applying undercoat or colour to ensure a good bond on a clean surface after preparation

Might I point out that if you have the receipt for that, you can go back to Mitsu to request a warranty replacement. That one will be 1 yr.
Even better if you bought it at point of sale. The warranty of the item stays with the car!!

Unfortunatley it's been nearly 2 years since I got them and I didn't buy at point of sale so no warranty for me :-(
