Icey Roads

Started the car today in a very cold perth morning
to have the car beep and me and a warning sign in the centre display
saying "possible icey roads"
had to laugh! and share it with you guys
hahaha icey roads

Lol i get that when going to uni in the morning, so funny, then i stare at the road and am like hmmm...

I think it means the temperature is 4 dgrees or less?

Yes it shows when air temp is 3 -4 C or lower.
Saw it past 2 winters since buying the car.

I get the warning here.

And it is a black ice area, so it is doing it's job.

I got it going to the V8's at Winton. Happened about 45 mins into driving after going through low lying fog. Temp went back up to 5 degrees until I hit another patch of fog then beeped again. Figure the sensor must be somewhere near the front of the car where it can get dew on it and the windchill factor makes it go off.

The OAT (outside air Temp) sensor is just behind the upper grille ahead of the radiator.

I think so. Happened to me the other morning. My intake temp was also reading 4 degrees celcius!
