Recommended Brake Fluid

Hey Guys!

Been a bit of a while since I've posted up a question, just thought I'd throw another one out there.

My VRX is about 800km of it's 45,000Km service, I've noticed that the Brake Fluid is to be replaced on this rather large service.

Rather than Mitsu just putting there OEM stuff back in there, I was thinking I'd put something better in, ie with a higher boiling point. I'm planning on upgrading rotors and pad soon and I thought this would help aswell considering I will be taking my car on the track sometime in the next couple of months.

I was speaking to a mate and he suggested Penrite Sin Brake Fluid which seems to look ok....

What's everyone elses thoughts?

Lucas Grand Prix 600

Its not cheap, and I know its a higher specification than DOT 4. I have used it in my XR6 supercharger... it was about $60 per litre from memory...

I think you will find that most high-performance drag, rally, race applications use this one...

Thanks tryg!

That stuff looks good to! To many options lol!

Can you get this from Repco or any other auto places?

Found a place in Brisbane; http://www.gslrallysport.com/shop/

Prices seem to be between $60 - $79

Find a local merchant carrying TRW gear and they will be able to get it in for you!

Motul Dot 4? :P

Or perhaps if you're going track... Motul RBF Racing brake fluid? :P

Just a suggestion... I have no clue if the DOT 4 one is actually any good...

However, I do know if you spend the money - The RBF Racing fluids are excellent :)

Motul is an excellent brand. I used Motul products exclusively on my Ducati. Can't believe she's been gone a week now :(

You sold you Duc?

I replaced mine with PBR Gold SuperDOT4... muuuuch better than OEM. And still a reasonable price.

(My pedal feel was shite before, that's what I get for destroying the fluid by boiling it too much

I've bought some HKS F-706 Racing Brake Fluid from JustJDM,
It's a little pricey, but I believe it will be worth it,as I track the car.
I'll soon find out if it's as good as they say at Wakefield.
It's going in soon with HAWK ceramic pads front and rear as well. :)

Oh, I think I do remember now you did mention something about it... But I clearly remember you say you'd never ever sell the Guzzu!! haha

But an update is a good excuse to sell it haha

gawd.. I would put the money into an EVO if the wife would let me. I saw an Evo Ten, for $53K (Black sedan demo with low kays) with the plates EVO TEN..!

But, she demands we put the money into mortgage...

But, there will have to be enough to allow me to buy new bike at some stage...!

are you kidding, she drives like 'nanna' and has no interest in even letting me do the brakes/turbo...

I am starting to read too many reports about CVTs going bunkus after turbo-ing... hoping RRM has sorted their sh!t out.... hate to be buying a new CVT box...

but she said I can have the 7 grand to do these last projects
