Recently bought my 2015 ralliart nearly 2 months ago, took it in for the 1500km inspection came back 45 mins later only to jump in my car to realise they put the wrong service interval in the dash comp.........not only that but they took it through the old school carwash with the brushes.....wasnt happy at all so i walked back in and told the service guy at the desk they have put the wrong service interval (15,000 instead of 5,000) i was told they didnt know my car was a ralliart thought it was a regular lancer...wtf if they inspected it then they would of known what type of car it is doesnt take an expert to figure out.....got the service interval corrected only to realise once i got home i actually had the wrong service booklet as i was given the lancer one not the evo/ralliart one....once i get my booklet going to another dealer.....

Not sure where you are in Melbourne but can highly recommend Knox Mitsubishi for RA's

How the hell can the mis up the RA with a regular CJ? hello look at the front or the badge or hey under the bonnet and the turbo. How are they in business when they can't even do the right service on the right car when then sold the car in the first place?

I wouldn't go there again.

Side note, how do you change the service info on the dash, got my CJ 2nd hand but I'm not sure if they changed the computer to let me know how long I had left for a service. Is it something anyone can change?

As for the car washing you need one of these.

Wouldn't want someone else washing my car, hand wash or not!

I take mine to Knox Mitsu, it's literally 2 minutes down the street haha
Last time I took it there for my 45,000km service, I came back and all of the inside was vacuumed, which is a feat considering my dog sheds like crazy.

What I'm most worried about is the oil they put in your car. They normally use semi-synthetic for NA Lancers, so I specify the full synthetic 5W-30 whenever I get my car serviced.

I'd probably flush that oil to be sure and top it up with the good stuff if I were you.

Wouldn't get the dealer to do it, who know what crap they use.

Yeah that's annoying. They always put the wrong interval on the sticker but always reset the interval correctly on my car.

Silly Mitsubishi.

How do they set the cars computer?

I know mine was wrong, way too long. I don't go by that anyway, mines done about 7500km since it's last service which is due at the end of the year. Likely to be well under 10k.

On that, what should I expect to pay for the 100,000km service. I know the 90k one was big, got it done as part of the deal before delivery. 100k is a lot less I've been told.

Why no get your car serviced from an Evo specialst like RTR or Techsport..you know they will put in the best oils and know exactly what they are doing...and it wont void your warranty...

Exaltd Automotive in Nunawading is also a great alternative to car service. The owner Gabriel has a CJ and is a member here. You get the same, if not better quality of service, yet without the horrendous costs of the dealer.

+ 1

I only let RTR work on my car :)

I won't let any dealer/apprentice near my car *hand*
