Ralliart 15,000km service

Postby squala » Fri Sep 21, 2012 5:11 am

Hi,

If anyone has done it through the dealer before, can you let me know what things they do to the car? I want to try canvassing with other service centres such as Midas to see if they can do it at a more affordable cost.

Thanks

Silly question, but if your car is 2011 then don't you get covered by capped price servicing?

Yes, it is capped price servicing, but it costs $260 for 15, 30, 45K and so on. If it's mostly stuff I could do myself, sorry but I'm reluctant to pay that much still. But if there are complex things included, then that's fine.

Why don't you call somewhere like Midas and ask them how much it is for a log book service?? They would have to go through the service book and carry out everything listed in there.

I'm getting it done in 3 weeks. Doubt you'd find any worthwhile saving over the CPS rate though, and by servicing with Mitsu you keep the roadside assist.

Addressing your question, though, it's all in the service book.

You will find others like midas, ultra tune and some others wouldnt be much cheaper, its quite easy to change the oil and filter yourself but in my case would only consider after the warranty has expired, another thing to remember if you want to sell it people prefer mitsubishi service history and not done yourself.
