My old SV21 Camry had the filter in a great position. It was located vertically so when you took it off oil flowed out of the filter all over the engine getting and pooling on top of the transmission. The make things
worse the exhaust manifold ran down each side, so someone with big hands like myself would hit the hot exhaust. My solution was a piece of steel with three spikes on the end of it that would grip the filter and undo, any other tool I found could not do the job.

@ Adrian, same with Fords, you are forced to fondle around under the inlet manifold from under the front wheel and spill oil down the suspension arm.. bad..

Agree, this car is a doddle by comparison...
