So will Mitsu charge you for the privilege?
I dont take mine to the dealer, provide my own parts & get my mechanic to do the work & stamp the logbook.
That is what I don't know yet. I will find out sometime this year
The book says in the final 6 months so after June I can take it in.
how do you intend to do your major services? you dont have engine testing equipment.

I have an OBD Scanner.
But Mitsubishi don't even hook the car up to their MUT-III anyway, unless there is a error showing up. I asked them.
In fact Zupps dealerships in Brisbane have 1 MUT-III to share between all their locations. So if thee is a CEL they have to go and collect it off whoever has it at the time. They don't do it every time they get a Lancer in for a service
Ok, this just especially for Blake:
45,000km service for CJ Lancer
Zupps Aspley ............. $496
Zupps Capalaba ........ $480
Zupps Southport ........ $464
Nundah Mitsubishi ...... $515
Motorama Moorooka ... $500
---
So your claim
Is so incorrect it's not funny. Not even dealerships under the same name are the same price!!

*grabs popcorn* ive never needed any special engine testing equiptment to do a major service on any of my cars..
i noticed in the paperwork i got from my dealer that one of them mentions set price servicing for the life of the car or something like that.. but they decided to leave that section blank

You are 100% right Adrian.
When I took my dads kluger to Newcastle for dealer service they had a deal on the corolla where it was fixed at $149 or something.
Mitsu fix the hours of the service, but each dealer charges out at a different hourly rate.
One service varied $100 between dealers when I was shopping round.

I'm sure I could get more variation out of that if I rang around the rest of the dealers... Or asked the Sunsine Coast dealers even.
but still was a $50 difference in my quotes.
For the record, my 45,000 service cost me ~$100
Ryco Oil Filter
Penrite Full Synthetic Oil
PBR Brake Fluid
Genuine Coolant
The coolant was the dearest part, because I went genuine.
