Mitsubishi Australia refered me back to the dealer when I attempted to get an answer from them. They appear to me, unwilling to accept any responsibility for information re their product, just refer you back to the dealer.

Its probably closer to 10k but last year was higher with a 6000km trip south.
Right now after 6 months its around 5k so far so on target again!
Most engine oils will do more kays than the dealer will tell you and within reason its more an issue of time not distance than is the real killer.
geesus.. you can't even change your own oil or else it'l void? I've still got full Mitsubishi warranty but I ain't gotta let the car get dirty inside just for thatLancer1993 wrote:Their is something about doing your own oil change, I know a lot of things on the service list of a modern car can't be done without the right training and electronic tools but as for now the oil and filter change is one thing most can still do without much extra training. That said mine CJ might be used but to keep the extended used car warranty it needs to be serviced at a nominated dealer so for at least the next few years I can't do it. I can still check the levels and top up the washer but that's about it.
Lancer1993 wrote:Not saying I can't do an oil change but with just 10k per year normally it's pointless when I have to pay for the service anyway at the end of the year. The bulk of the extended warranty covers the engine and GB, stuff the warranty conditions and I've wasted the extra cost of the extended warranty.
Not getting into a debate here over paying for extended warranties on used cars, it looked good at the dealer when buying the car.
