I was actually going to mention fuses but thought others might have already.
Fuse box behind the glove box is simple to get too. Just squeeze together the two back corners of the glove box and it drops down. There is also a little position on the left you have to remove off a small clip.

Yeah I've done that before to do other things.

Just hope the power sockets aren't overloaded.

Was considering getting a fuse pack but you pay $3 something for 5 of them or over $30 for a big box which is overkill. Think I'll wing it, not going bush so should be able to pick some up any place if we have problems.

So did you check out my dash-cam video on the last page?

You've always got the spare 10,15,20A fuses on the inside lid of the fuse box in the engine bay, anyway.

Close call indeed! Gotta keep them eyes on the road ;)

I'll double check those and get some if needed.

Yeah there was a slight touch but so, so, so close to being big damage and weeks off the road for a new nose, bonnet and more!

Can't see it in this photo but there are some minor scratches and a paint crease when the plastic flexed, you can see a fleck of white on the drivers side next to the upper grill.

It was a good wake up call to just take it easy and leave a bit more room... unless you have a big ass bullbar!

And we're off!

Just over 600km in the first day after a slight false start due to someone forgetting somethings!

Now in Moree.

BTW yes we have a house sitter and family checking the house daily.

So yesterday went through NSW, today more NSW, VIC and now in Berri SA!

Only getting 8-9Lt/100km at HWY speeds, had a head wind today so dropped a little, was hoping for a little better.

Also passed 100,000km today!

The CJ is fantastic and cruise control is a god send, so much better with less foot cramps. Love the rest button, press cancel to slow down for a truck/town then when its passed hit RES and it takes you back to you last CC setting!

Need to weigh the car to see just how much we weigh right now.

No major issues with traffic, just the usual amount of idiots as always.

Odd - I had my car down to 5.8l/100km from NSW to Qld just a few weeks ago.

So, yeh, 8-9 is unusually high.
And yeh, I had cruise control on most of that, and yeh, I had it maintaining the speed limit..

On the trip back I got to the 6.4l/100k (and got 750ks out of the tank :)).

I never got in the 5's and 6's in my old 09 es lancer. Mid 7's was the best I got outta mine in any drive.
BC Racing Coilovers, 3in Turbo back Exhaust, Merlin Tune.

Once you go black, your endlessly cleaning that.

Mods maybe?

In my case I have removed the snorkel - so it's just open to engine bay ;)
Wheels - got rid of the stock ones and have some off a VRX.
I run 98 Fuel.
I've got a manual as well..

In typical driving locally (bear in mind I am not bumper to bumper city) - I get low 7s, high 6s - if that helps at all.

Not yet, too busy with family stuff but will let you know.

Mines a manual, been sticking to the limit 100-110 with cruise control set most of the time.

Been using ULP and e10 just to see if there is a difference. Lowest we go so fare is 8 but seen 7.8 on the trip computer. Been keeping detailed records.

Only engine mods is a RA intake, but with no changes to the under bonnet 'vent' that lets in the air. Was serviced at the start of the year.

BTW I'd like to weigh the car at some point fully loaded, any places around Adelaide that I can do that?
