Hey guys

Picked up a used 08 VRX manual with 79000 on the clock.

In idle, accelerating, decelerating or out of gear the car sounds like it has a supercharger strapped to it, that classic noise we are all familiar with and the noise gets louder the higher the rpm gets.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what is causing this.

Cheers

Have you checked the air filter?

ensure the air filter is seated correctly within the airbox and all sides are mated.
There are two plastic groves on the bottom which need to mate. and i think one on the rear of the airbox.
its a stupid design.
that sound is air being sucked in due to a gap. this air is bypassing the filter.
