Starter motor help ASAP

Postby piggot » Fri Mar 13, 2015 9:26 am

Need help can't get starter motor out from the space it's in. Got the two bolts out and the ground off but just can't shimmy it out. It's a lancer cj activ 2012, is there something I should take out to be able access the starter motor easier? And would it be easier to access from the top or the bottom? Thanks

If you do a quick search on here there is a free workshop manual available either for download or browse.

Your removal\installation instructions can be found on
16. Engine Electrical -> Starting System -> Starter Motor Assembly

If you have removed all the bolts and the terminal wires then it should come off with a light tap.

Sorry for bringing up an old topic but I can't get the starter motor out either. And the link to the workshop manual doesn't seem to work anymore! Please help :?
