Best way to wash car?
Moderators: Moderators, Senior Moderators
I use Auto Glym car wash, Meguiars wool mitt and Auto Glym Synthetic Chamois. I wash my car as much as possible under a shady area and one panel at a time. Everynow and then Id wax it if I can be bothered.

I got the Meguiars new car kit. Has the MIT ultimate wash ultimate wax, which talking to the guys at meguiars at motorex is there best wax and can be used in sunlight, microfiber cloths an tyre gel which lasts longer than spray. I find these products seem to work great. Have taken my car to car wash cafe at baulkham hills and other places and they just don't do as good a job as I do.

I usually rinse the car first under low pressure then follow it up with snow foam wash using the foam lance to lift the grime and dirt off the car's body. That is then followed by hand wash using dodo juice wash and wash mitt. Rinsed under low pressure then dried using 2 step micro fibre system. Every 3 months, the car undergoes multi-step waxing process. 1.Clay bar with quick detailer spray. 2. buff 3. sealant 4. buff 5. wax binding solution 6. carnauba...the whole process takes up the whole weekend
I'm not as fussy in washing the car like unused to be, but i always start from the roof down, of you start from the bottom of the doors up, a lot of the grime is at the bottom part of the car which will transfer onto the sponge/cloth when you wash the rear of the car. I'm fortunate to have a silver color, swirl marks etc are rarely seen
I usually go to the self service car wash thing where you put money in the slot and you get one minute to wash your car.
Im wondering if the high pressure wax thing actually works? I mean the next option after that is the high pressure rinse.
after watching youtube vids im never going to the self service wash again lol. hand wash all the way yo.
