if you goto a smaller tyre place like an independant wheel shop they usually send it away to be welded then machined and repaintsed do your shopping around they can weld most wheel metals now making it a much nicer finish than an epoxy

Dont use mobiles mag repairers unless your happy to lose a little bit of the rim... a couple of my mates do that and they told they will grind it down to smooth out the wheel then paint to match.

I had my CE28's repaired by Liverpool Jax, They used All Aluminium and Cast Iron Welding Services.. Dropped it off Wednesday, picked them up on Thursday... They couldnt color match my rims exactly but you cant see where the damage was :)

It's possible that it's not economically viable to repair the stock rims with such small damage I guess. I noticed that I can get $115 16'' rims off ebay. A bit pricey, but reasonable for single purchases I guess.

It would be a great excuse to get new rims, but I'm just thinking that I would've wrecked a fair amount of the wheel on a larger rim if I had them on. The tyre copped most of the scraping today, so it doesn't look too bad overall.
