Shouldnt cost me nothing as car is still under warranty plus i only had it a week when problem was picked up by service department

Ok just got off the phone with Lander service gearbox will arrive next Tuesday
and should take approx 2days to replace happy days

Man, it sounds so easy to get a gearbox changed here. In countries like Vietnam you need to wait 3 months for a headlight replacement =))

Still waiting to get car back hopefully today was told workshop was very busy
over the friday and saturday period.

Picked up the car yesterday what a diffrence in the drive was told my old gearbox was sent off to headoffice for futher testing to see what the problem was very happy with the car so far hopefully get to do a bit more driving this week

That's good to hear. I am curious as to what would have been wrong with the gearbox mechanically, I was thinking hesitation would have been caused by the transmission's ecu. Though to be honest I have no idea if how the SST even works.

Chances are we will never know what was wrong.

My understanding is that the SST boxes go straight back to the manufacturer sealed. No dealer or Mitsu technician looks at them. Getrag make the Mitsu SST.

Yep thats what i was told they cant even open them up to see what was wrong
straight back to MMA headoffice didnt even see what the total cost in the end
but iam thinking not much change from 8000
