Another Night Delivering Pizza

So if you don't know I'm a pizza delivery driver. Not glamorous but I get paid to drive so its like free money.

Tonight was the usual deal. Slow night, couple of deliveries. One complained so I went back to see if they were right, and if so to refund them.

I get greeted by 2 guys flying out of the house before I even got out of my car jumping around and yelling followed by 2 girls also yelling.
I even agreed to refund them and they persisted and I ended up getting punched in the head and have some scratches on my chest. The front of my car was kicked repeatedly too and theres some damage that'll need fixing...
I didn't overly help in the situation, as I pointed out they've been aggressive before and said they'd never order from us again yet recently started to again so maybe they should stop. I never swore at them or anything though, nor was I aggressive, and I only yelled because they were yelling over me the whole time (I was getting pushed around by one of the girls almost constantly and never even lifted an arm to deflect her or try to stop her).

I called the police after I left and they came and talked to me and then said they'd go over there... Not much anybody can do though if I don't press charges, as I don't want to have to see them again in court and wouldn't get anything out of it even if I did.

Fingers crossed I'm not out of pocket much over this...

All over $30.85 of pizza that, as I said, I'd already agreed to refund.
Probably time for a new job.

Shit man, thats tough.

Id be pressing charges, if only for the next driver thats going to cop it. People like this dont stop unless tought a lesson.

Demestos gel on their car... Strips the paint and eats into the steel.

At least your alive and safe.. I'd be looking for a new job and refusing to serve that house due to safety reasons till u do get a new job.

Your employer should pay for repairs needed on car if your not going to press charges against the customer, willful destruction of property and vandalism

Thays pretty bad. Personally i would never be a pizza delivery driver to much risk involved, though being a taxi driver would be much worse. Good luck with everything buddy where here if u need help with anything :)

I too am a Pizza delivery driver on weekends, in that situation definitely press charges, and then get them barred from the store and also call other pizza stores in the area and advise them to do the same due to safety.

As it happened during work if you incur any costs due to the incident, you are covered by the company's insurance.

Thankfully I have not encountered an issue like this, and hope I never do.

But most of all something needs to be done, as the next guy that cops it from them may not be as lucky as yourself.

It is so disappointing to read stories like this. Why is our society getting so violent?

Your employer should have insurance for your car. Just be careful most insurances do not cover your car when used for work purposes.

I would press charges against all 4.

My guess is they were drugged and got the munchies.

I've always tossed up whether or not to do pizza delivery to get a bit of extra cash, unfortunately it's stories like these which turn me off it.

Hope everything sorts out well for you.

Sounds like those clowns just complain to get a refund...

Black list them as the very least and make sure all delivery services (not just pizza) in the area know about them...
