Hey,
I recently got my tint done and was worried about the same problem,
my tinter put felt inside the plastic and it seems to have taken care of it, i havn't noticed any scratches at all.

Felt reduces the likelihood of them scratching but it doesn't eliminate them. Looking at my tints after 9 months I'll only expect to get 2-3 years before they'll need replacing I reckon...

I got mine done by a local window tinter who turns out does it for the dealers anyway. Paid $140 cash for 20% (limo tint) tint which is nice and dark and sorta matches in with my privacy glass. Even with the felt it still has developed scratches since tinting it July 08. Atleast I only have to worry about two windows scratchin up on the VRX. The rivacy glass in the back windows is fine and doesn't scratch!

but yeah it's pathetic, they save a few $$ on the window seals by using a hard plastic but it fcuks up everyones tints :?

oh and btw if its 3 weeks old dont go getting too excited, they will eventually appear mate

it looks like my 2 cents is needed once again.... i got mine done by the same dealer as andrew a good 6 or 7 months ago and mine are excellent....

for someone to say that mitsubishi are not up to scratch is absolute horse $H17.... this is the 2nd car i have purchased from this particular dealer brand new and i would suggest to anyone to do the same.... the after sales service is amazing compared to other dealers and u can trust that the product u buy from mitsubishi is one of quality not crap

rant over
