I was in an accident on 6/7/2011 at 2:10 pm
didn't see the car until it was too late, on a roudabout that is know for regular accidents.
No one was at fault and have since been informed there is a petition from the surrounding businesses to get the roundabout removed and have lights installed.

was wondering if you all think the car will be ok or a writeoff

Sorry to hear about the accident.

What are we judging the decision on though? Photos?

Is there a reason why you think it might be a write-off?

It looks repairable to me, although there's probably a fair amount of work involved to replace the panels and readjust the engine compartment.

the bonnet and front right of the car has been pushed left about 2-3 inches

should be fine.. looks like its just a fender bender.
Unless there is chassis damage.. it will be repaired.

Difficult to guess. If there is suspension damage could get out to 8k ish. Possibly alot less.

Suggest at less than 8k, repairable and not a writeoff as value greater than that.

Sorry to see that but atleast you are ok.

That is not a write off. Definitely repairable.

thanks for your input guys, i'm no good with cars and welcome the input.
it will be great if it get repaired as i'd miss the cj, getting a new one wouldn't be the same.
I hope you are right and hope it isnt a right off

That should be repairable mate
Even if the chassis rail is off centre it can be realigned Mechanical and panel damage is straight forward
Best of luck with it mate and at least you are OK
Cheers Chris....

Yeah that should be fine unless theres something we can't see :)

Your headlight and panels took the impact. Your wheel seems untouched which is good. Its just superficial stuff from the picture.

It looks driveable to me, obviously not a good idea though :P

It's a little hard to tell from the angle of the shots.

I'd guess as the others have said that it's repairable. I'm no expert, but I have a good eye for angles and things being square or off alignment so I'd be able to tell a little more accurately if I could see the car dead on from the front at around Grill level. (which I might note is how the assessor will look at it)

I've certainly seen worse.
