Thought it would be a good idea to start a thread where anyone could post stories about experiences they have had with undercover cops (or cops in general if they are interesting/entertaining)

You are a P plater, and 80% of P platers do it but you learn very early that any late model Commodore or Falcon could be a cop car.

Drive past your highway patrol depo and see what others they might have too ( Lancers, Hiluxs, Corollas etc ).

You are lucky, but also kinda stupid.

I find your story neither interesting or entertaining.

CCJ discourages this sort of behaviour. What you do in your own time is your business, but please do not bring it here.

I like the fact that the police do not scour this site looking for where we are going to be to target us. This sort of behaviour encourages them to do this. We respect other road users.

For my 5 years of driving, I haven't been stopped by the police ever.

If you drive properly, according to the road rules, then there shouldn't be any issue. It is neither "interesting" nor "entertaining" to do otherwise.

I have a story and it proves most police are good people trying to help the public.

I was going through a hard time in my life 3 years ago. My Dad had a serious car accident and was in hospital for 3 months recovering. I was trying to do my full time job and run my Dad's chicken farm business. I had no spare time and was spending a lot of time at my parents house doing what i could. Nina(wife) was helping me too and we found it very difficult as we had a young daughter to bring up as well as both working.

One day I went to the local hardware store to get some things for Dad's farm. I pulled into the car park and an unmarked police car pulled up next to me. The policeman told me my car was out of registration. I was stunned as I always pay my bills. I checked my sticker and it had run out for about 2 weeks before. The policeman asked me why and told me to register it when i got home. He did not fine me, just let me know that it needed to be registered.

I apologised and told him I would do it straight away. I rang Nina up straight away and she paid it on the internet before I drove it home.
