Title says it all, got any stories to share?

Me, well a few months ago someone in an old red landcruiser rear-ended me while I was waiting at a give-way, it was only a light hit tho but it still pushed the rear bumber out and took some paint off, so anyway I pulled over up the road only to see him speeding off... Funny thing is, I wasn't even mad when it happen just shocked but when I got home thats when I started to think about it and just entered this rage and now I wish I had gotten out right then and there and beaten his bogan butt, the guy also looked like he was stoned aswell which would explain why he didn't see me *facepalm*

Before this happen he was behind me on the logan motorway tailgating right and I looked in my rear view and saw his face, just a blank expression, mouth open, I kept looking and his face did not change for the whole 15 mins untill I turned off, he must have been out of it seriously...

I was driving my mums honda jazz, a woman with her kid in the front seat ran a give way sign, i t-boned her at about 50km/h, hit her rear wheel, the axel snapped or bent? something funky, the wheel was looking like it had 45 degrees of camber haha (luckily i tried to swerve so i didnt hit her daughter) and wrote off her car
mums car needed the whole front end replaced, a few grand in damages

of course she tried to blame it on me because i didnt have p plates on haha but when the cops showed up they literally said, this is open shut as she ran the sign

oooh just remembered another good one, this will blow your mind:

my girlfriend drives one of those bright green mazda 2s and she was on her way back from netball.
sitting at a 4 lane (2 lanes each way) traffic light in the middle lane she was hit. a woman was backing out of a driveway, got across the first lane, my girly honked just to make sure they knew she was there, she looked away and BAM! they kept going and did some decent damage
whole door had to be replaced etc

she asked what happened and the woman replied " i didnt see you i guess"...... followed by "what colour car do i have to buy for people to see me!"

apparently everyone around was just shocked at the stupidity and were offering condolences to my girlfriend as they drove past haha

Great thread idea...

On a 80km/hr road the car in front of me was pulling into a drive way and I didn't have room to change lanes so I slowed down too a stop. As I glanced into my rear vision mirror I notice the guy behind me literally leaning over to the other side of the car not looking.. Knowing I was about to be rear-ended. He then decided to quickly reverse, change lanes violently, cut in front of me and pull into the driveway. Now it keeps getting worse from here.. as he got out of the car he stumbled over to his passenger side door, and was scrabbling around looking for something - his smokes. Lights one up looks at me and calmly goes "I'm uninsured" passes me his wallet and tells me to take what I need. What made things was that he was obviously drunk.

I actually never ended up getting my car fixed (sold it like 3 months later) so he got away with it.

Did he have any money in his wallet before/after?!

Told this story before but anyways... Sorry about the length.

I was in my first car, an 01 lancer with full evo 6 body kit (twas epic). I had 2 friends in the car too.
2 lanes each way, I was in the left lane. I was gradually going past a mitsu 380 in the centre lane, as he wasn't doing the speed limit. He indicated to change lanes as I was directly alongside him. I couldn't see any of his indicators so I didn't notice, but he didn't notice my entire car and suddenly changed lanes on top of me.

My car was lowered and had kind-of-low profile tyres and the curb was square, so rather than bounce over the curb onto the footpath (and possibly through a fence), I got squished between his car and the curb (yes, he hit me that hard and reacted that slow that he was squeezing my car between his and the curb).

Damage:
All wheels scratched.
Left front wheel bent inwards (pos camber style) and to the right. This disabled the brakes on the wheel somehow.
Right front wheel's brake rotor and half the calliper exploded down the road.
Front and back bumpers and everything on the right side ruined (mirror, both quarter panels, both doors, side skirt).
Front axle was bent from being squished.
Probably more.

A small detail about that model lancer: The back two wheels only had drum brakes. It took 40-50 metres for me to stop it with my handbrake.

Fun facts:
He only had a chinese drivers licence. Have you tried taking details when the licence is in chinese? I got nothing but a licence plate number and a phone number.
It was his sister's car.
He made no attempt to apologise, and left very soon after because he didn't want to be late for uni (his sister's car had such minor panel damage that it was fully drivable), leaving us sitting on the curb.

The car was written off, I was told it was a minimum of $7k damage just from a first-glance assessment, car was bought for $10k.

Oh and, 1-1.5 years later, coming home on the freeway from a cruise, driving behind Graham as we live near eachother, I saw it again. They fixed my 'write-off' car and sold it to some unknowing girl.
Its still out there somewhere, I hope its history brings nobody to harm...

@JaCe - nope no money. It was quite obvious that this guy didn't have much going for him... he car had already been in two other accidents before mine (both of which he said he hadn't been able to pay for) and it looked like he actually lived in there. I took a bit of pity on him and didn't really do anything to get the money.

Bleh,

I was driving home on I think Klump Rd turning onto the Pacific Motorway. Stopped behind this done up Getz at the lights. After a while the Getz started to roll backwards. Probably pressed the horn for a good minute or so before it it me.

Got the details, made my bumper stick out a bit at the side. Called insurance and later was told that I was the one who rolled into her. BS. Sigh. Should have got witnesses but it was hard. Busy junction and noone wanted to stop.
