I have free 3G on my Kindle and when shopping with the wife and she's in the shoes section. I do try and get on.

Would be hard for you to cater for a Kindle I'm sure.

I use my iPhone to check in because I was waiting for a PM regarding a person I was meant to meet for a sale today.

I'm not too fussed if we can't use an app (although I think there are some apps which work well with online forums?) as long as the website is designed for mobile devices in terms of screen size, removal of unnecessary 'junk' (e.g. fancy menu bars) and focussed on getting the core features (i.e. viewing threads, posting/replying, view profile, full PMs access).

Would be nice to have some kind of GPS feature for when we check in near by similar to Facebook's check-in feature but am not too fussed.

Used to have an iPhone, but have now changed to an Android..... I still view the site in full mode and not the 'mobile' option....

Android seems to load better, but not sure that's site related... ;)

Basically on Facebook you can "CHECK-IN" to a location such as Thornleigh McDonalds and share it on your Facebook profile. It'll also tell you if your friends are also checked in there.

It'll probably be a lot of effort to develop with not that much reward so maybe save this for when you've got nothing else to do and there's more interest in it- but I can see it being useful for when we do improvised meets at random locations.
