Basically.. Two cylinders, two pistons in each.
Achieves more power because pistons travel half the distance.

Not a new idea a variation on an old theme. When i worked in defence there was a minesweeper engine that was six pistons on three cranks in a triangular arrangement, compression expansion achieved in exactly the same method even better it was deisel.

the reason that engine was invented was practically zero vibration due to the nature of the engine.
