It's bad enough Mitsu allowed them to rebadge our cars, but an "Evo" version is simply crossing the line.

R3 isn't that great a tuning arm (i.e. it's no AMG or M division) but that being said, all they would be doing is modifying the base model cars. Considering Mitsu apparently put a lot of restrictions on Proton regarding what they could tweak in the Lancer in making the Inspira (i.e. no engine/ECu tweaks), I'd imagine this kit would be an upgrade kit rather than a full fledged model.

Besides, if Proton didn't do it, this being Malaysia means half of all Inspiras on the road will be Inspiralutions thanks to bodykits and a very active modding community... maybe we'll even see some 4B11T swaps!

ps. An Evo X costs RM350k is around $115k aud... at CURRENT FX rates (i.e. strong Aussie dollar).

Let them build it, a Lancer with Lotus tuned suspension; nothing wrong with that. If they do an R3 version of their Lancer the kit would be different and maybe they will have it in Lotus colours. Honestly the existence of the Ralliart is enough to cheapen the Evo image, this one wouldnt be any different.

On the benefits, Mitsubishi's with Lotus tuned suspension and handling...

I really do wanna drive the Lotus-tuned suspension! They've done wonders in the past with otherwise crap cars.

are we able to incite some sort of war between Singapore and Malaysia, with Singapore taking over? not likely, but it may be one solution to end this madness :p
