ClubCJ - The CJ Lancer Club

Hey guys,

I'm off to the Gold Coast and Bali during the summer and I want a reasonable waterproof camera.

I don't want to spend too much (less than $200).

A couple I have looked at are the Fuji Finepix XP10 and the Samsung AQ100.

Anyone care to shed any light on the situation, any 2 cents is thanked.

The fuji is at big w for $199 + staff discount.

My Friend recently had the olympus ones.. but be careful with the sand - if it gets into the lens area it can really screw it up. Didn't close thanks to the sand in the lens cover area.

Citigate have the Olympus tough 8010 for $250 but I don't really like shopping over the internet. Might try see if JB will price match.

Have you ever used Fuji?

The one thing I am iffy about is the battery life. It's quoted to take 165 shots, is that normal for a battery? Taking it overseas I don't really want to run out of battery when I'm out on a tour etc.
