here goes.

i had installed an exhaust system about 2 months ago now but there is a problem. whilst installing the exhaust we had stripped a bolt and today i went into an exhaust shop too find out if i could replace it or get it fixed. the exhaust guy told me that one of the spring bolts were also stripped and my o2 sensor( the one nearest to the manifold) aswell and he said it needed replacing. so in total i have 2 bolts stripped aswell as my o2 sensor. i called mitsubishi this arvo and they told me a new one was going to cost me just under $560.00

i dont have any CEL comming up on my dash and my fuel economy is pretty good.

it just goes to show that sometimes DIY could cost you more than it saves you. my dad installed the exhaust for me and he is a very good mechanic.

what should i do?

I'm told that our O2 sensors are a standard type and not specific to the CJ. So failing finding one from a wrecker you should be able to find a suitable non-OEM sensor for a Auto spares store...

@ CJChad,
You can buy the sensor at Best Mufflers or thier On-Line store for $155

Both the sensors on the Lancer exhaust (1 before the Catalytic Converter and 1 after) are the 4 wire type. (2 x black wires, 1x white wire, 1 x blue wire)
Last sensor onthis page:

Ask to speak to Chris Myles, he's the brains who owns and runs the place.

Hope this helps:
