Ok, so I have a small collection of Lego Technic (most of it's at my Mum's because I don't have the space to put it on shelves)

Just thought I'd post some pics of the ones I do have here.

Ditto. I was a huge fan of technic. I loved the motor kit (anyone remember the grey brick with the 6 or 8 AA batteries inside?)

Nowadays Lego is all about marketing of other things (e.g. Star Wars, Batman, etc) and whilst it's cool, I think Lego needs to go old school again.

Yes !
I recently dug out my bag of old lego and gave it to my boy to play with... He loves it... We built a car using that motor just the other day :) Mine takes 3x C size :)

I agree... but their technics range is still great, and the construction and City range that Crane above is from my boy will be into for sure.... *I'll be into... hehehehe

I'll also be getting my boy into this... Mindstorm

It does look good fun... Heaps of add-on modules and bits... Sensors, motors, colour recognition stuff....

He was telling me he and his son had set it up once with a bag or two of M&M's and had got it to sort out all the colours into different piles...
