WOW. I was driving (well, dad was) along today, and I see a new Lexus in front of me, and then I register these quad oval exhausts in a \/ shape! Looks SOOOO cool! I'll find a pic...gimme a sec... (Josh is a douche, I just realised that you won't be giving me a sec because it will be instant to you, but its a few seconds to me to find the pic, oh, bugger it, heres the pic: Image

That looks great on that car. I assume it is a V8.

I would like to fit a black rear diffuser to my car but with only single exhaust.

I don't like twin exhaust tips on single exhaust systems, especially on 4 cylinder vehicles.

Yes it is a V8. It is meant to be Toyotas, well Lexus answer to the BMW M3.
Quad tips. but only 2 are connected, 2 of them are fake.

I saw one of these the other day, a blue one. They look nicer out on the road than in pictures.

I'm lucky enough to say I've driven one. Handy being related to the Lexus chief mechanic in Australia. Nice enough, I suppose, but I think a slightly tuned Ralliart is MUCH better value for money, despite the cool exhausts.

Funniest thing I have ever seen was a Lexus drag off a GTS Commonbore... And the Lexus was driven by an old man!

Sure would have scrambled the GTS driver's brain... but they persist with their tractor-technology pushrod motor still....

would look a bit strange on a cold morning with steam only coming from two exhausts! At least if its the bottom ones that are real it wouldnt be as noticeable! lol

Nothing wrong with a pushrod motor.
I actually prefer the good old Windsor motor that is in the T3 T-Series over the quad overhead cam V8 engines that Ford use now. The T3 engine is soo much more livelier and a heap more fun to drive.

You may like it.. but it is not the way to make power... taxable horsepower robbing your output.. I never said there was anything wrong with it, just was comprehensively beaten and outmastered by a technologically superior engine...

but if you like the clunky old stuff... good onya!

Def looks better in the flesh but at that price, I think I'd rather pony up a bit more and get a C63 or M3 sedan. Both would be nicer for my tastes.

As for the quad tip, I think they look alright. Some people claim they look too riceboy or riced up, but I think that's Lexus own marketing target... a bit different to the normal crowds of people who flock to the C63 and M3 purely because of badge appeal and 'elegance'.

That being said, I think fake tips is lame on a $140k car.
