Playin in Aus for the second time this year.
They're my favourite band in the world 8)

Who's going to go see them???

Their 999th show was in Perth on Australia day last year and they blew the power 1/3 of the way through, it was still an epic performance though.

I spent almost $400 on tickets this time around so I got the meet & greet package

Jeez, those boys have been around for more than 25 years. I remember them when they first came onto the scene. Now - a - days they make more money overseas with tours then making money in their own home country (U.S) They have had some decent songs in their history. Mine is 'As I am'. I am a huge metal fan, but rather the Finland style of power/progressive metal rather than the old style US metal. Have fun at the concert dude!

Really cool man. But nothing beats being on a Bruce Air jet going for an Iron Maiden concert and drinking with the band. Damn if I could do that again... But ja back to dream theater. AWESOME :D

Saw the show and it was awesome!
Met the band and had a quick chat with each of them and got my VIP pass and shirt signed and even gave John Petrucci a high 5 :D

I got a few pics and a few vids from my camera until it ran out of memory :( too many pics from cruises lol

Since the concert finished early I even had time to go on a cruise and catch up with some mates, as soon as I got to the meetpoint 8 cops rocked up handing out yellow stickers :\ most of us were double-parked but they didn't fine anyone for that which was good!

I went to the Sydney show with my Mike Portnoy lookalike (and massive fan) little brother. DT are the reason he got into drumming, and I introduced ther music to him :)

Sadly the Xmas present budget didn't stretch for the meet and greet, but it was a fantastic show at the Horden! Would have liked to hear a few more from Scenes from a Memory, but there's not so much scope for back catalogue on a new album tour, especially when a. they had a rocking support act with them, and b. 3/4 of the songs in SFAM tend to run together in true epic prog metal style!

Now, you may think me a wuss for it, but I snaffled some earplugs from first aid, so could stand right in front of the left speaker bank and hear the songs and not the massive reverb and distortion of my eardrums dying!

All up, heaps of fun, and a way better turnout than their first Sydney gig.

I'm proud to say that I've been to all (2) of their Sydney shows.
