ClubCJ - The CJ Lancer Club

since it wasnt a CJ Cruise i will post it here.

i went for a cruise wth the OzMazda club (dad and brother are in the club) and went to Merimbula.

Very nice drive and man i have never driven so hard in my life.

was a lot of fun going through the mountains, and lets just say i had to keep up with a few MPS mazdas

there was a very nice straight bit of road where a streached out legs and one guy had his satnav hit about (too quick)kph, i was a little less at (better not say)kph, i know i shouldnt but still.

had a bit of whale watching off the beach.

i must admit it was probably the most fun ive had, so i will have to def try and make the effort to come to some sydney runs on the weekends.

haha thats funny seeing as we just did a joint cruise with a mazda club and a few other clubs

yeah we even had a guy from QLD come down with a MPS3

Are your initials the same as your dad and brothers? haha

brother is BD (red MPS3) dad is RD (MPS6)

So why didn't you get a RA at least?

ld have loved an EVO on some of the roads, i think we sat on the limit on good bits, plus about 20 over the recomended speed for most of the corners, like 35kph corners,

ohhhh the Lancer handles so well, i few of the cars had some 3 wheel action going on

Personally I LOVE driving through mountains/hills and IMO the best way to drive is at what you feel is safe.
I try to only drive through mountains at night because if I'm exceeding the limit i will be able to see oncoming cars headlights ahead of me well before I acctually see them so I have plenty of time to slow down and hug the left side of the road.

good to see both clubs cruising together.

its pretty easy though the mountains when you have about 14 cars infront of you and using 2 way radios warning the people behind of on coming traffic.

was a lot of fun, and we should try to organise a few more joint cruises, now having a contact between the two clubs.

ind as i said in def gona try and make the effort to come along to our cruises.

I must admit though i did drive to probably the best of my ability (didnt crash, yay!!) the car handled it GREAT, the tail felt a little floaty a few times.

during the "fun" bits my average fuel was 8.38L/100ks and i think that is bloody awsome considering the speeds, average speed was about 70kph too.

(if you know the area, that is a quick average speed)

Gotta love it when the tail feels floaty lol

I've made/making maps in WA hills and some of the roads don't have a speed limit (but obviously the state limit of 110 still applies) which is AWESOME because that's how I enjoy driving through some of those roads and it isn't considered speeding.

i have never driven a car that hard before, and i absolutly loved it, but i did enjoy the nice slower drive home.
there was one mazda owner that said " i wont be driving that hard after lunch" and my dad was behind here and there was about 20cm gap between her rear tyre and the road, yeah right not driving as hard.

So whens the next syd cruise that isnt during the week????
